What's New in vSAN 6.5
With the introduction of iSCSI target service, vSAN 6.5 extends workload support to physical servers. iSCSI targets are managed with Storage Policy Based Management (SPBM) and vSAN functionality deduplication, compression, mirroring, and erasure coding can be utilized. Using vSAN for physical server workloads and clustered applications can reduce the dependency on legacy storage solutions.
